Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the operation of the synchronous motor continuous even under a step-out condition within a specified time by giving step-out detecting signal and the contact signal of a field cutting device to a trip coil via an AND gate and a timer. CONSTITUTION:When an insufficient voltage detecting relay 6, an excessive current detecting relay 7, and a field disappearance detecting relay 9 are actuated; the trip coil 2a is energized through an OR gate 15. When a step-out detecting relay 14 is actuated, a memory unit 16 memorizes this, and a field cutting device 8 is tripped at the same tiem. Therefore, a contact 8a is closed, and the timer 18 is energized. If the synchronous motor does not start the synchronous operation again within the time set by the timer 18, the trip coil 2a is energized by the output of the timer 18.
