Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively utilize heat energy and to reduce the weight and size of an absorbing refrigerating machine by utilizing exhaust gas of an engine of a car as a source of energy for use in separating refrigerant from solvent by heating. CONSTITUTION:In case ammonia is employed for refrigerant and water for solvent, thin liquid ammonia is contained in an absorber 1. Since the absorber 1 is cooled near to a room temperature, ammonia is dissolved to water to make thick liquid ammonia even under low pressure. The thick liquid ammonia is pressurized by a hydraulic pump 2 and delivered to a generator 3. The generator 3 is heated by a heater mechanism which utilizes exhaust gas from an engine of a car. As a result, ammonia in water is separated therefrom to thereby generate high pressure ammonia gas. The ammonia gas is evaporated at an evaporator to cool air therearound. The cooled air is delivered into a room of the car by a fan 7.
