Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a light communication system requiring no timing adjustment, by converting the digital signal to an analogue signal and transmitting it in the communication system where the data signal and the service signal are superposed and transmitted. CONSTITUTION:The output of data signal source PSS is subjected to D/A conversion and is superposed onto the service signal from service signal source TEL by synthesizing unit CMB. The output signal of unit CMB has the frequency modulated by modulator FMD and is converted to not only a digital signal by electro-optic converter E/O but also a light signal and is transmitted through an optical fiber. The received light signal is converted to not only an electric signal by photoelectric converter O/E but also an analogue signal and is applied to FM demodulator DSR. The demodulator output has the frequency divided by branching unit DIV, and one is applied to receiver RCV as a service signal, and the other is applied to data receiving unit DR after A/D conversion.
