Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the heat accumulating efficiency without changing the heat insulating capability by a method wherein a material having a low thermal conductivity is filled in a container for solid heat-accumulating material of a heat accumulating tank utilizing the sensible heat.
CONSTITUTION: A heat accumulating material 2B having a similar volumetric sensible-heat amount and a lower thermal conductivity, as compared with a heat accumulating material 2A, is filled in the spaces between the heat accumulating material 2A and a container 3 therefor. In the case where carbon steel, granite or the like is used as the heat accumulating material 2A, bricks may be selected as the heat accumulating material 2B. Accordingly, a heat accumulating tank with reduced ratiating loss, i.e., a heat accumulating tank of high heat accumulating efficiency can be obtained without additional installation of the heat accumulation container for the heat insulating layer in the heat accumulating tank.
