Abstract

PURPOSE: To incinerate the heavy crude oil ash efficinetly, keeping down the generation of NOx and adhesion of the fluidizing medium even with the change of componemt parts of the heavy crude oil ash, by adjusting the burning temperature of a fluidized bed and the charged quantity of the heavy crude oil per the sectional area of the fluidized bed (the load on the bed of a furnace) to be within proper ranges.
CONSTITUTION: In a method wherein the heavy crude oil ash is incinerated in a fluidization incinerator, the temperature of a fluidized bed is adjusted to be in the range 600W680°C when the weight ratio of vanadium to carbon (V/C) contained in the ash is 0.01 or more, while the temperature of the fluidized bed is adjusted to be higher than the design temperature and also to be 800°C or less when the above ratio V/C is less than 0.01. In addition, in the fluidizing incinerator, the value of the load on the furnace bed of [260-160/5(AW1)]kg/m2h[where A is the value obtained by multiplying the numercial value of the heat of combustion of the heavy crude oil ash (Kcal/kg) by thousandth] is determined as the standard, and the design value of the load of furnace bed is set in the range within ±20kg/m2h to and from the value of the load of the furnace bed.
