Abstract

PURPOSE: A silicon compound is added to fuel oils and they are burned to prevent the dusts in the exhausted gas of burned heavy and crude oil from depositing on the layer of granular filler in the burner.
CONSTITUTION: When the fuel of crude or heavy oil is burned in a burner with whe layer of granular filler for denitrification of dedusting of the exhausted gas, a silicon compound as colloidal silica or organosilicon compound is added to the fuel, preferably in an amount of 5W50% on the basis of the ash in the fuel.
