Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to recover sodium sulphate continuously by precipitating out anhydrous Glauber salt selectively from a concentrated liquid obtained after desalting a waste liquid from a desulfurizing apparatus of a coal fired power plant and said anhydrous Glauber salt is subjected to a solid-liquid separation.
CONSTITUTION: After a waste water containing a S compound, an N compound as well as NaCl and NaSO4 as main components is desalted, the obtained concentrated liquid is concentrated by an evaporating apparatus and, subsequently, the concentrated liquid is subjected to the incinerating treatment to oxidize and heat decomope the S compound, the N compound and a dissolved salt of NaCl and Na2SO4 exhausted along with an exhaust gas from an incinerating treatment procedure is dissolved in a liquid in a cooled precipitation apparatus. In this case, as the dissolving water, a part of the condensed water of said described evaporating apparatus is used and, while a condition of a temp. 35°C or more capable of preventing Na2SO4.10H2O from being precipitated is held without using a new heating source to selectively precipitate out only anhydrous Glauber salt being recovered by the solid-liquid separation. Subsequently, a liquid amount corresponding to an absolute amount of NaCl thrown into a system from a separated motor liquid is continuously withdrawn out of a system and the residual motor liquid is returned to the cooled precipitation apparatus.
