Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a printer or the like by memorizing a motor phase finally energized in a memory when a power source is shut off and starting the energization for the power supply on the basis of the stored value when rethrowing the power source. CONSTITUTION:A phase switching timing pulse generating circuit 1 produces a pulse, which operates flip-flops 2, 3 and whose pulse state control transistors 8-11 through inverters 4-7 to thereby drive a pulse motor PM. The outputs from the flip-flops 2, 3 are inputted to a memory 12 for storing the energized motor phase, and the output from the memory 12 is fed to a control circuit 13, and the output from the circuit 13 is applied to the flip-flops 2, 3. A battery 14 is connected to the memory 12. Accordingly, the motor phase at the time of breaking the power source is written in the memory 12, and since the content in the memory 12 is fed out as a preset data at the time of rethrowing the power source, paper feed for the printer or the like can be accurately executed.
