Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize the decrease in the torque of a pulse motor, by providing a timing control circuit and altering the timing of energization of the phases of the moter to increase the torque. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a sensor 2 for detecting the position of the pulse motor 1 and the output voltage E of a battery 3 are supplied to the timing control circuit 4 to generate a timing signal J including a compensation quantity. A power switching circuit 6 is turned on and off through a commutator 5 to selectively apply the output of the battery 3 to the phases of the motor 1. The compensated quantity of the timing of energization is altered by the control circuit 4 depending on the change in the voltage of power to increase the torque of the motor to minimize the decrease in the torque when the voltage of the battery falls. The motor can thus be run by the battery of limited capacity for a long time.
