Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a fixed force constant at all times without regard to the driving directions of a magnetic head group by a method wherein two magnetic field spaces are formed, and coils, which are reversely wound mutually, are arranged into each space. CONSTITUTION:The dimensions of magnetic field spaces 12, 13 are equalized and the density BG of each magnetic flux is uniformalized while the dimensions of coils 5, 6 are also made equal and connected in reverse winding shapes. If currents are flowed through the coils 5, 6 so that a carriage 8 advance when the directions of magnetic flux 11 generated by a permanent magnet 1 are directed in the arrow head directions, magnetic flux phiC2 generated by the currents flows inthe same directions as the magnetic flux phim 11. Since the coils 5, 6 are formed in the same dimentions, magnitude is the same and the directions are reverse and magnetic flux mutually cancel in magnetic flux phiC1, phiC2, and the magnetic flux phiC1, phiC2 only results in the magnetic flux phim 11 generated by the magnet 1 and do not change even when currents are flowed through the coils. The same result is also generated when a carriage 8 is retreated. Thus, the fixed force constant can be obtained at all times without regard to the drive directions of the magnetic head group.
