Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent degradation of the separation degree for the weak input level and the strong input level, by controlling the amplitude and the gain of a gain control circuit according to the output of a fow-pass filter. CONSTITUTION:The output of AM detecting circuit 12 is input to not only matrix circuit 16 through gain control circuit 24 but also low-pass filter 21. Low-pass filter 21 outputs a DC voltage corresponding to the output of AM detecting circuit 12. The output of this low-pass filter 21 is fed back to higher harmonic amplifying circuit 10 and intermediate frequency amplifying circuit 11 to control the gain of gain control circuit 24 which amplifies the AM-detected signal. Thus, amplitudes of the stereo sum signal and the stereo difference signal are equalized.
