Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an extremely dense piezoelectric porcelain by adding organic binder, plasticizer, and solvent defined in compositions to piezoelectric powder to form slurry state, drying and solidifying it, while pressurizing a plurality of sheets formed under specified pressing pressure, and then sintering. CONSTITUTION:2.5-10% of organic binder such as polyvinyl acetate or polyvinyl butyral or the like is added to 100 parts of finely pulverized piezoelectric powder. Then, plasticizer such as dibutylphalate or dioctylphthalate or the like of 70-150% is added to the organic binder, and solvent such as methanol or ethyl acetate or the like is added in 15-30% to the piezoelectric powder, and the mixture is sufficiently mixed. Thereafter, slurry 1 thus obtained is flowed on a flat carrier 2, and is rolled with a blade 3 to form a sheet 4. The sheet 4 is dried, solidified, and separated to be cut in prescribed shape. Subsequently, a plurality of such sheets are superimposed, laminated and pressed under a pressure of 100-1,000kg/cm<2>, and is finally cut in a desired shape, and is then sintered.
