Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce a magnetic member of Fe-Al-Si base alloy lamination excelling in magnetic characteristics and wear resistance, by making thin sheets from slurry of binder and Fe-Al-Si alloy powder, and laminating the thin sheets into a laminated block body by means of inorganic electric insulating material layer, and provisionally sintering, then pressure-sintering.
CONSTITUTION: The material is an alloy powder consisting of Al; 3W8%, Si; 5W 12%, and Fe for the remainder, and the grain size is less than several tens of μm, to which is added, as binder, ethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, or vinyl resin, being dissolved in solvent such as alcohol, by 0.5W5%, to prepare a slurry. This slurry is poured into a mold to form a uniform thin sheet 0.2mm or less in thickness. Inorganic electric insulating powder such as alumina and silica is formed into slurry by using binder, or the powder material is made into thin sheets of which thickness is 1/10 or less of said alloy thin sheet, so as to be laminated with alloy thin sheets. The laminated body is provisionally sintered at 500W1200°C to remove the binder, and is pressure-sintered at temperature of 1000W1300°C, under pressure of 300kg/cm2, in Ar atmosphere.
