Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the hot crack of base weld metal and to improve the capacity of joint, by making the nickel alloy limited in the quantity of nickel for the middle layer and welding one side of the base material and combined material with each equal metal from the side of the base material.
CONSTITUTION: V-shaped groove having a projected shape on the bottom part of the groove, is provided with the combined material 1 making the base material 2 for the opening side of the groove. Next, only the material 1 made of pure copper or copper-nickel alloy, is welded by the metal equal to the material 1 from the side of the material 2 and is joined by the weld metal 4. Then, one layer or more of the middle layer weld metal 6 are welded on the metal 4 by using nickel alloy containing ≥55wt% pure nickel or nickel. At this time, welding materials are selected so as to contain ≥50wt% nickel in the metal 6 of the first middle layer or ≤8wt% copper. Next, the metal equal to the material 2, is welded on the metal 6 in layers and the material 2 is joined by the weld zone 3of the base materials. Further, the reason why the nickel content in the metal 6 is limited, is that the hot crack of the weld metal is prevented.
