Abstract

PURPOSE: To synthetically convert solid waste contg. synthetic high molecular substances into resources by adding an inorg. substance to the waste, heating them granulating the high molecular substances, and separating the granules from other solids.
CONSTITUTION: Waste contg. synthetic polymers and separated as light rubber 03 is fed to vol. reducing and solidifying apparatus 4. Inorg. additive 06 is simultaneously supplied, mixed with the waste, agitated, and heated, and polymers are granulated together with additive 06 and solidified. Small granules and ungranulated additive 07 are separated from the treated substance opening (g) and circulated to the supply inlet of apparatus 4. Light treated substance 05 is discharged through dampers (h), (i) and supplied to a separator such as zigzag type air separator 5, where ungranulated light matter such as paper is separated upward with air current 13. Synthetic polymer-contg. solidified granules 16 are taken out of the bottom of separator 5, and they can be utilized as fuel, etc.
