Abstract
PURPOSE:To ease the location of the center of members by inserting a collecting rod through a hole of a synthetic resin sealing molded packing with a guide of itself and welding a cup-shaped terminal plate inserted to the packing over the rod and the collecting rod. CONSTITUTION:A positive active material 10, separator 11, and negative active material 12 are packed coaxially in a metal container 13, and a sealing combination comprising a cup-shaped terminal palte 1, collecting rod 2, and synthetic resin sealing molded packing 3 is inserted into an opening of the metal container 13 and sealed to obtain a dry cell. The sealing assembly is fabricated by welding the cup- shaped terminal plate 1 and collecting rod 2 together, when the collecting rod 2 is inserted through a hole of the packing 3, the periphery of the cup-shaped terminal plate 1 is inserted to the inside surface of the vertical cylindrical periphery of the packing 3 to locate, and the collecting rod 2 and terminal plate 1 are welded together while being pressed to form the assembly.
