PURPOSE:To prevent a secondary defective by stopping the operation of a horizontal oscillating circuit when a low voltage load circuit gets out of order due to a short circuit, by providing a television receiver with a resistance and diode. CONSTITUTION:If low voltage load circuit 9 gets out of order due to a short circuit, diode 23 turns on to flow electric current through circuit 9 and the electric power voltage falls, stopping the operation of horizontal oscillating circuit 19. With circuit 19 off, any positive pulse appearing at the secondary side of flyback transformer 5 by way of horizontal driving circuit 20 and horizontal output circuit 22 is not generated and no electric power voltage is applied to point 2 of the circuit. Thus, adding resistance 22 and diode 23 prevents flyback transformer 6 from breaking down owing to the stop of large electric current flowing in the order of flyback transformer 5, diode 6 and low voltage load circuit 9.
