Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the concentration of dust at the gas outlet of flue constant by providing a dust concentration detector at the waste gas outlet of the flue in order to control heating current supplied to the discharge electrode of a electric dust collector on the basis of the detected values.
CONSTITUTION: Combustion waste gas is introduced through an inlet flue 1 into the electric dust collector 3 for cleaning and then exhausted through an outlet flue 2, at which the concentration of dust in the waste gas is always monitored by the dust concentration continuous monitor 4 provided there. A singnal of dust concentration from the monitor 4 is introduced through a conductor 6 to a dust concentration comparator 7, where it is compared with a set value of dust concentration and a signal corresponding to the difference in the dust concentrations is sent through the conductor 6A to a discharge electrode heater 5. Then, a circulating current corresponding to the signal is flowed to the discharge electrode of the electric dust collector.
