Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily mold a large-size battery cell with an inexpensive mold by a procedure in which plurally split traverse elements for a storage battery cell are formed and their joints are covered with a thermoplastic synthetic resin by using a mold. CONSTITUTION:Battery cell elements 1 and 2 consisting of traverse split halves are formed for a large-scale battery cell body, arranged to the shape of the battery cell boty, and then hot-melted for their joint ends. Furthermore, the closed space 7 enough to embrace the joint bends are formed by using the male mold 5 and the female molds 6a and 6b. Then, a thermoplastic synthetic resin is flowed through the injection nozzle 9 into the closed space 7 so as to inteqrally cover the joint ends.
