Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain hard magnetization which has a strong resistance to the disturbance from an external magnetic field by keeping a magnetic substance below its magnetic transformation temperature and/or at such a high temperature as to eliminate its self-magnetization, and subsequently subjecting it to an external magnetization field to form desired magnetic poles at predetermined positions. CONSTITUTION:An electron beam 28 is formed in such a way that it strikes on a fluorescent screen 21 on the inner surface of a panel 22 and a magnetic substance 31 is heated with a high frequency heating coil 35. When the magnetic substance 31 consists of deposition-hardened members, such as Spinodal and Bicalloy, the temperature is below its magnetic transformation temperature, while, when it consists of Sr ferrite, or the like the temperature is such that its self-magnetization is eliminated. Since this permits the magnetic substance 31 to reduce its retention force and to easily be magnetized, a preset magnetic pole can be formed even if an external magnetic field is smaller than the value at normal temperature. Subsequently, the magnetic pole is magnetized into a static or pulse magnetic field using a DC power supply 33 or a high frequency power supply 34 which is connected to a multi-pole magnetic field generator 32.
