Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the strength of a housing, by integrally constructing a housing for contaning a temperature sensing body and housing holder with an electrically insulating and low thermally conductive material and inserting a metal into mounting and screw parts to the main unit of a structure where the strength is required.
CONSTITUTION: When applied to an automatically choked carburetor, a temperature sensing body 4 is thermally expanded by applying a voltage from a power source through a plus terminal 7 to a PTC (positive temperature coefficient resistor) 8, allowing it to generate heat and transmitting its thermal energy through a stud. 9. This change of the movement is transmitted to a push rod 11 against the tension of a return spring 10 to actuate the first idling cam not shown in the drawing. At this time, a housing 16 for containing the temperature sensing body and conventional housing holder are integrally formed to insert a different kind of material, for instance, metal 20 into a portion mounted to the carburetor main unit and the mounting screw portion of a stopper 18, and improve the strength of the housing.
