Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve toughness and shearing strength by forming the deposited part by electron beam welding by the mixed components of the three of a blade material, a corrosion preventing piece and an intermediate joining medium metal.
CONSTITUTION: An intermediate joining medium metal 4 of Inconel is interposed between a turbine blade 2 and a corrosion preventing piece 3, and an electron beam 10 is irradiated from the back 2a of the blade part 2 along faying surfaces 5, 6. In order to make beam width 16 slightly wider than the thickness 14 of the intermediate joining medium metal 4 in roughly the central part of the weld zone depth 15, the electron beam 10 is irradiated by being given oscillation 11 in the direction normal to the welding direction, whereby the deposited part 7 having width wider than the thickness 14 of the intermediate joining medium metal 4 is formed. That is, the deposited part 7 is formed by the mixed components containing all of the turbine blade 2, the corrosion preventing piece 3 and the intermediate joining medium metal 4. After this the portions undeposited by the electron beam 10 are irradiated by an electron beam 9 which is similarly given vibration, from the back side 2b of the blade part 2, whereby they are welded.
