Abstract

CONSTITUTION: After replacing air in melting chamber 4 with Ar gas, Cr or Cr alloy A is charged into water-cooled crucible 2, and plasma arc 9 is formed by supplying an electric current between water-cooled surface plate 7 and plasma torch 8 using Ar gas from DC power source 20 to heat melt a material A.
