Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible quantity production of plated products of uniform quality, by measuring automatically the hydrogen ion concn.of a plating soln., and by controlling the supplement of supplementing solns. for hydrogen ions and for Ni in accordance with the measured value.
CONSTITUTION: Plating soln. 2 contained in a plating tank 1 is circulated by a pump 4 through circulating pipe 3. A branch pipe 6 is equipped with a cooler 7 and a measuring instrument 8 for pH in series. The instrument 8 has set pointers 9a, 9 which incicate the set upper limit value and lower limit value of pH. When the pointer 10 of the instrument coincides with the set pointer 9, the instrument gives command to supplement respective soln. from a supplementing tank 11 for hydrogen ion, and from a supplementing tank 12 for Ni by pumps 15, 16 through feed pipe 13, 14. When the pointer 10 of the instrument arrives at the set pointer 9a, the instrument gives command once again to stop the operation of pumps 15, 16. Hereby the concn. of the soln. contained in the plating tank is kept in a prescribed range.
