Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the problem of economy and reliability and improve accuracy by the use of position checking limint switches by performing electric power cylinder drive position detection by pulse counting. CONSTITUTION:If a setter 16 is beforehand so set that a baffle plate 4 stops in a desired position and a drive start signal generator 12 is operated, a drive command circuit 11 is inverted to send out a drive command signal to a line 13 which in turn drives an electric power sylinder 5, thereby pushing the baffle plate 4 to the in- furnace center. When the baffle plate 4 arrives at the set position corresponding to the pulse number having been set with the setter 16, the number of integrated pulses from a pulse generator 5 and the number of set pulses from the setter 16 coincide and a coincidence discriminating circuit 18 sends out a signal which causes the drive command circuit 11 to invert and to stop the electric power cylinder 5. In this case, for the overtravel position 4-(n+1) of the baffle plate 4, a limit switch 6-(n+1) operates to immediately stop the electric power cylinder 5.
