Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce the titled cable efficiently with a device of a small scale by wrapping a metal tape having beforehand been applied with solder treatment layers on part or the whole of the surface of the portions on corresponding to lap portions the cable circumference and heating the lap portions thereby bonding the same by said solder.
CONSTITUTION: A cable 1 to be treated is drawn out from a drum 3 and is successively led into a molding machine 3. A metal tape of good conductive metal material of copper, copper alloy, Al, Al alloy having beforehand been applied with solder treatment layers 5, 5' on the surface of the portions corresponding to lap portions 40, 40' and having beforehand been prepared is led into the molding machine. Here, the metal tape is coiled in such a manner as to successively enclose the circumference of the cable and lap at the portions having been applied with the solder treatment. The lap portions of this metal tape are successively heated to be bonded by the solders 5, 5'. Here, it is desirable to expose part of the solder treatment layers on the outside surface of the wound layer at the wrapping of the metal tape in order to bury the step parts at the end line of the metal tape by the solder when they are heated.
