Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunctioning accurately by transmitting an ultrasonic signal to a target while a transponder fails to respond and the noise and the like are removed from a response signal after an envelop level of the signal received is memorized. CONSTITUTION:The pulse generated at a pulse oscillator 1 is applied to a transmittor/receiver 4 by way of a transmitting/receiving selector 3 after the modulation with a pulse modulator 2 and transmitted to the target transponder 5. Here, as the transponder 5 fails to respond to the initial ultrasonic signal, it receives only surrounding reverberation and waves reflected from things other than the target. The signals are applied to a memory 9 by way of an amplifier 6, a subtraction circuit 7 and an A-D converter 8. The response signal of the transponder is received and the signal memorized in the memory 9 is subtracted from the signal with the subtraction circuit 7 whereby the reverberation or the like can be removed to improve S/N.
