Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance reliability with respect to the dispersion of firing potential by performing all the processes from the sealing process of various materials to be sealed up to the sealing process of exhaust pipe in the inside of a globe box. CONSTITUTION:The luminous tube 4 with the exhaust pipe 6 whose both ends are confined with electrodes is degassed and the tip of the exhaust pipe is sealed up. Then, the luminous tube 4 is transferred to the preliminary chamber 5 where degassing is made by an evacuation system and argon gas is filled through the gas supply valve 10. Then, the luminous tube 4 is sent into the globe box 1 and the tip of the evacuation pipe 6 is opened. Afterwards, the inclusion of the ampoule 2 is sealed up within the luminous tube 4, and then the evacuation pipe of the tube 4 is attached to the evacuation head 3, degassed through the valve 13, and then confined with argon gas through the valve 14. Then, the root of the evacuation pipe 6 is sealed up by the heater 7 and the sealed luminous tube 4 is taken out of the globe box through the preliminary chamber 5.
