Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to store liquefied gas with no need of pressure-resisting structure, by carrying the liquefied gas into a storing means installed submerged having a temperature and a pressure substantially equal to those of the liquefied gas at its saturation state or those causing super-pressurization of the liquefied gas. CONSTITUTION:A gas storing tank 1 is constituted by an upper surface 2 and a side wall 3. Further, the tank 1 comprises at its bottom a bottom plate 4 having ports 5 communicated to water. A liquefied gas conveying pipe 6 is connected to the tank 1, so that an LPG in an LPG tanker 9 moored by a mooring tower 8 can be carried into the tank 1. By a securing means 7, the tank 1 is secured to the sea-bottom 18 where the temperature and the pressure of water are substantially equal to those of the liquefied gas in its saturation state or those causing super-pressurization of the liquefied gas. By thus balancing the inner pressure of the tank 1 and the water pressure around the same so that the pressure in not acted substantially to the body of the tank 1, it is enabled to employ a light structure for the tank unnecessitating a pressure-resisting structure.
