Abstract

The invention is concerned with the problem of loading and unloading vessels in the open sea, particularly vessels which are liable to carry liquid gas. The invention provides for a line 26 from a source of the liquid gas to be located beneath the surface at a predetermined depth and with a pipe 28 at the ship end which is held substantially vertical by a float 30 on the surface of the water. <IMAGE>
