Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to form desired color pattern easily, by inserting a sheet, which is painted with coating material on the surface and is not yet dried, between an electrode plate and a screen having penetrating holes, then by feeding powdered pigment to the screen.
CONSTITUTION: A coating layer 2 is formed on the surface of a sheet 1. Before the coating layer 2 dries, the sheet 1 is inserted between a metallic screen plate 3 having penetrating holes 3a of descried pattern and an electrode plate 4 which faces to the screen plate 3, then DC voltage is applied across both plates 3, 4 so as to generate an electrostatic field 6. At the same time, powdered pigment 7 is put into the penetrating holes 3a of the screen plate 3 from outer surface of the screen plate 3, hereby the powdered pigment is electrically charged. Hence the powdered pigment 7 is attracted by the electrostatic force to the electrode plate 4 and adheres to the undry coating layer 2 on the surface of the sheet 1. As a result, a decorative sheet having colored layer 9 corresponding to the pattern of the penetrating holes 3a is manufactured.
