Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the lasting electrical conductivity, sensitivity, etc. of an electrophotographic material by forming the 1st layer contg. polyvinylcarbazole, an electron accepting substance and an electron donative dye compound and the 2nd layer contg. polyvinylcarbazole and an electron accepting substance on an electrically conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: On an electrically conductive substrate of Al, Cu, metal oxide or the like the 1st layer contg. polyvinylcarbazole, an electron accepting substance such as nitrobenzene or chlorobenzene and an electron donative dye compound such as malachite green or methyl violet is formed usually in about 0.1W3μ dry thickness. On the 1st layer the 2nd layer contg. polyvinylcarbazole and an electron accepting substance is formed in a dry thickness corresponding to about 1/4 of that of the 1st layer to obtain the titled electrophotographic material.
