Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled hot-rolled steel plate free of fishscale generation even under severe conditions by winding in a steel containing given amounts of C, Mn, S, N, O, sol Al, and Ti, particularly a specific amount of available Ti, at more than a specific temperature following hot rolling. CONSTITUTION:A steel, containing 0.04% or less 0.05-2.0% Mn, 0.02% or less S, 0.01% or less N, 0.01% or less O, 0.01-0.10% sol. Al, 0.02-0.30% Ti, and the substantial remnant of iron, is prepared. The effective Ti percent contained in said steel being represented in Formulas I and II is defined at 0.01 and more. Thus prepared steel is then hot-rolled by an usual method. Then, the steel plate is wound up at a high temperature above 650 deg.C, particularly 650-750 deg.C. Thus, a hot-rolled steel plate free of fishscale generation under very severe conditions can be obtained.
