Abstract

CONSTITUTION: To a low C Al killed steel contg. <0.12% C, <0.05% Si and 0.2W2.0% Mn are added W and Mo in a composition range satisfying equation 0.3%≤W%+Mo%×1/2≤2.5%. The resulting steel shows superior fusion loss resistance to a molten Zn both or an Al-contg. molten Zn both, so it has superior endurance when used as a material for a galvanizing vessel or parts such as a sink roll contacting to molten Zn. Especially, the reaction of the low C Al killed steel and a molten Zn both at 490W520°C causing a remarkable fusion loss can be controlled.
