Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the formation of skid mark and dent on the material to be heated, by placing every skids in pusher type heating furnace in bending arrangement in the direction of breadth in inclining arrangement in the direction of hearth, and by placing supporting metal fittings in parallel arrangement in the longitudinal direction of the furnace near the discharge side.
CONSTITUTION: For example, skids 12 are placed in parallel arrangement in the longitudinal direction of the furnace in the heating zone A, in bending arrangement at a bending angle α in the longitudinal direction of the furnace and at a bending angle β in the direction of hearth in the soaking zone B, and supporting metal fittings 18 of skids 12 are placed in parallel arrangement in the longitudinal direction of the furnace. The material 21 to be heated is pushed into the furnace by pusher and is slided on the metal fittings 18 arranged on the skids 12. In the heating zone A, the parts of the material 21 to be heated which is in contact with metal fittings 18 are cooled by water-cooling pipe for the skids 12.
