CONSTITUTION:Plural rows of spray header pipes 3 are disposed near the surface of a strip 1 which is conveyed in a furnace body 5, along its longitudinal direction, in a roller hearth type heat treatment furnace or the like, and an atmosphere gas is introduced therein. Plural rows of spray header pipes 7 diametrally opposing to the spray header pipes 3 in the upper part are provided, and an atmosphere gas is introduced therein. Since the introduced gas is preheated while it passes the inside of the pipes and is elevated approximately the same temp. as that of the strip 1, the problem of the nonuniform heat treatment and nonuniform heating in the furnace width direction of the strip 1 is solved. Hence, defect of the nonuniform cut shape of physical characteristics and the like do not occur, and the degradation in product value is prevented.
