Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a sliding nozzle plate of superior corrosion resistance, spalling resistance and strength by constituting an injection hole and a sliding surface by using hot-pressed boron nitride base refractories. CONSTITUTION:A plate constituted with a teeming port 3 and a sliding surface 4 of boron nitride base refractories 2 is used for a sliding nozzle body 1. The body material is known such as materials of high alumina base or mullite base. The refractories 2 are obtained by adding binders such as B2O3, CaO, SiO2, Al2O3 or AlN to boron nitride powder, and pressure molding the powder under about 1,800 deg.C temp. It is preferable to interpose mortar between the body 1 and the refractories 2.
