Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible the mounting of the refractory structure for adjusting molten steel flow free from seizure with extreme ease without drying process by sandwiching the flexible and/or pressure-shrinkable refractory packing composed of alumina or the like between refractory members. CONSTITUTION:E.g., inorganic refractory powder and inorganic fibers such as of, e.g., alumina, magnesia, chamotte, silica and silicon carbide are used as the main raw materials for the flexible and pressure-shrinkable refractory packing material used. The material obtained by cutting or molding the flexible board comprising compounding the binder having flexibility after drying such as synthetic resin emulsion to this is used. This is used by directly sandwiching or fitting the same into the faying parts or bonding on the working surface. For example, the refractory packing 3 is sandwiched between the slide plate 1 and chute nozzle 2 of a slide nozzle device.
