Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the degree of extension changeable according to the strength of the repellent force of a stretched spring by filling up oil in an inner cylinder and two outer cylinders and by providing the spring pressing the two outer cylinders in the direction of separation from each other and the spring pressing the inner cylinder in the direction of one outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The outer cylinders 1 and 2 are arranged in opposition to each other and both end parts of the inner cylinder 4 are fitted slidably in the inside of the outer cylinders, while pistons 7 and 8 are fitted also slidably in the inside of the inner cylinder 4. And, the spring 15 pressing the outer cylinder 1 and 2 in the direction of separation from each other is stretched between the pistons 7 and 8, while the spring 16 pressing the inner cylinder 4 in the direction of the outer cylinder 1 is stretched between the piston 7 and the inner cylinder 4. Based on the mutual relations between the outer cylinder 2 and the inner cylinder 4, the springs 15 and 16 and check valves 9 and 10, the shock absorber is compressed easily by small damping force at the stroke of simultaneous rise of the outer cylinder 2 and innner cylinder 4, while at the stroke of rise of the outer cylinder 2 alone the compression of the shock absorber is controlled by somewhat large damping force generatd. And at the stroke of lowering of the outer cylinder 2, extrememly large damping force is generated, and further at the stroke of simultaneous lowering of the outer cylinder 2 and inner cylinder 4 the shock absorber is extended at a proper velocity.
