Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable display of stable working property even when lateral load is applied by providing a guide bearing at the upper end of a cylinder and further by providing a movable engaging member and an engaging ring encasing the movable engaging member therein under the bearing. CONSTITUTION:The ring-shaped guide bearing 26 is provided at the upper end of the cylinder 20 and a ring-shaped stopper 27 is fixed below the bearing. Then, a free piston 28 is fitted intermediately between the guide bearing 26 and the stopper 27, while the movable engaging member 31 consisting of a taper sleeve 29 and a supporting tube 30 is provided on the upper surface of the piston 28. Next, the engaging ring 34 which is engaged with the taper sleeve 29 and encases the movable engaging member 31 and a compresion spring 33 is fixed to the inside wall of the cylinder. In the case when the lateral load is given to a piston rod 22, the guide bearing 26 receives the load and secures the move of the free piston 28. In addition, the guide bearing 26 prevents the penetration of dust without fail.
