Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform desulfurization with less water consumption and simple aftertreatment of steam in combined dry and wet desulfurization by making the concentration of SO2 in containing steam a definite concentration.
CONSTITUTION: The adsorbent that adsorbed sulfur oxides in dry desulfurization is sent to desorption process (b), and desorbed by sending desorbing steam from a line 3. The steam is circulated until the concentration of SO2 in the steam becomes 18.7W19.6vol%. When this concentration arrives at said %, the steam is sent to cooling process (c) where it is cooled and separated into condensed water and SO2- rich gas. The condensed water is sent to lime slurry preparation process (g). The SO2-rich gas is sent to absorption process (d) and brought into contact with the lime slurry. Then, it is oxidized to gypsum dihydrate, and the lime is made into slurry with separated filtrate and condensed water, and made to slurry that absorbed gas rich in sulfur oxides. Thus, dry and wet systems are combined to save water and to eliminate discharge water.
