Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the reactive effect of an absorbent by a mechanism wherein a slurry of an absorbent comprising lime stone which has absorbed an exhaust gas and dolomite is divided into two streams by a hydrocyclone and an unreacted absorbent stream is used as an absorbent. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas 1 containing SO2, HCl, HF is intriduced into an exhaust gas absorbing tower 3 through a flue 2. The above described impurities is detected by a concentration detector 4 and the lime stone corresponding to the SO2 quantity and the dolomite corresponding to the amount such that the total amount of HCl and HF is below the Mg amount within the delomite are supplied to an absorbing tower 3. Subsequently, an absorbent slurry absorbing SO2, HCl, HF is drawn from a line 14 and introduced into a hydrocyclone 16, thereafter divided into an upper outflow slurry 17 and a lower outflow slurry. The latter lower outflow slurry which contains unreacted dolomite and lime stone separated selectively is returned to a line 1 as an absorbent.
