Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively recover gypsum of good quality by a stable operation, by contacting SOx-contg. exhaust gas with a gypsum slurry of pH5-3 contg. a specified org. acid, sulfuric acid and alkali in the presence of O2 while adding lime so as to carry out absorption and oxidation of SOx in a single apparatus.
