Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the excess or shortage of the gas flow near the furnace wall and the shape of the inactive zone in the furnace that can be cause for occurrence of slips proper and prevent their occurrence by maintaining the infurnace pressure drop detected in the lower part of a blast furnace and the temp. in a furnace body cooler within a proper control range. CONSTITUTION:The indicated values of the infurnace pressure drop in the lower part of the furnace and the temp. in a cooling device indicate the adequateness of the gas flow and inactive zone near the furnace wall. Hence, if the above-mentioned two measured values as indexes are controlled within a desirable range to be obtained empirically by controlling charge distributions, the rate of blast, the temp. of blast, etc., the slips of charge in oil-less operation in particular can be effectively prevented. Namely, the pressure drop in the lower part of the furnace and the temp. of the furnace body cooling device are measured, the values thereof are made into indexes and whether they are maintained at proper values or not are operated. The charge distributions are adjusted by the outputs thereof and the furnace is so operated as to attain the correct pressure drop value and temp. value, whereby the occurrence of slips is prevented.
