Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a surface elastic wave device which is stable to the thermal environement, by connecting the comb-line type electrode formed on the ferrodielectric substance to the earth potential. CONSTITUTION:Surface elastic wave filter 2 formed on ferrodielectric substrate 4 is fixed onto base 1 with input and output interdigital transducers IDT5 and IDT6 incorporated each. Then comb-line type electrode 6a of IDT5 is connected to base 1 functioning as the earth potential via resistance 19. Otherwise electrodes 5a and 5b of IDT5 and electrode 6b of IDT6 can be connected to base 1 each in the same way directly or via the resistance. And also e.g. pin 14 to which the electrode is connected can be used. In such way, a surface elastic wave device which is stable to the thermal environment can be obtained without lowering the piezoelectric characteristics.
