Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the fault caused by the disconnection at the noncross part of the comb-tooth part, by providing the auxiliary electrodes to connect to the comb-tooth part and almost along the fixed envelope curve. CONSTITUTION:A crossing is secured for part of the comb-tooth part where the effective electrode 22 and the dummy electrode 23 are formed alternately and along the fixed envelope curves 24 and 25 on one main surface of the piezoelectric substrate 21 made of the LiTaO3, LiNbO3, ceramics or the like. In this case, the auxiliary electrodes 26 and 27 to connect to the electrodes 22 and 23 are provided almost along the curves 24 and 25. Accordingly, the surface elastic wave element does not become defective regardless of occurrence of the disconnection areas 28 and 29 since a connection is secured at the cross part by the electrodes 26 and 27.
