Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the breakage loss of rolling rolls, and to make the finish rolling work for an extremely wide steel angle possible, by applying a finish rolling work to a material to be rolled with a couple of vertical rolls and a horizontal roll respectively provided with a prescribed shape. CONSTITUTION:A finish rolling mill is constituted of a couple of the left and right vertical rolls 11, 11a rotated around parallel vertical axes 10, 10a and a horizontal roll 13 rotated around a horizontal axis 12. A material to be rolled for a steel angle is finish rolled by said three-axis rolls. Said vertical rolls 11, 11a contact with entire outer surface of both flanges of a steel angle 14, and the horizontal roll 13 contacts with the inner surface of both flanges of the steel angle 14. According to the present method, the unit consumption of rolling rolls is reduced, and an extremely wide steel angle free from working flaws, cracks, etc., is obtained.
