Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance by forming abrasion-resistant films of specific thickness on both side faces of a sheet core using an Fe-Al-Si type alloy. CONSTITUTION:Abrasion-resistant films 2A, 2B are formed on both side surfaces of a sheetlike core 1 consisting of an Fe-Al-Si type alloy by a surface treatment mthod such as ion implantation or thermal diffusion of rich layers of elements that can provide abrasin resistance for example, C, Cr or Ti. Thereby, the head which is superior in abrasion resistance and practicality is obtained.
