Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve magnetic flux density and wear resistance by laminating a magnetic and a wear-resisting layer, having a specific film thickness range, by turns. CONSTITUTION:A head core 1 is formed by alternately laminating a magnetic layer 2 and a wear-resisting layer 3 having a 0.3-3mum thickness. When the magnetic layer 2 and wear-resisting layer 3 are used in combination, the magnetic layer 2 uses a metallic magnetic material practically, and the wear-resisting layer 3 uses ferrite. For the practical film thicknesses of those two kinds of thin films, they are so determined that (Bs1.t1+Bs2.2)/(t1+t2)>=6,000 (G), where Bs1 (G) is the saturated magnetic flux density of the metallic magnetic material of the magnetic layer, and t1(mum) is the film thickness; Bs2(G) is the saturated magnetic flux density of the wear-resisting layer and t2(mum) is the film thickness.
