Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the vacuum contact time of a photosensitive printing plate without deteriorating the tone reproducibility and causing defective development by uniformly distributing fine powder in the photosensitive layer to form uniform and minute unevenness on the plate surface.
CONSTITUTION: Heat cured phenol resin is used as a finely powdered substance. The resin is obtd. by heat curing novolak type phenol resin prepared by the condensation of phenols and aldehydes in the presence of acid or resol type phenol resin prepared by the condensation of phenols and aldehydes in the presence of alkali after adding a curing agent. The heat cured resin is finely pulverized, and fine powder having about 1W7μm average particle size is dispersed in a photosensitive layer. The amount of the powder allowed to exist on the layer surface is 50W500,000, preferably 1,000W100,000/cm2, and the powder content of a coating liq. is about 0.01W20wt% to the solid content.
